8. Dark Fall Colors(Seasonal): “Right now we’re in the fall season. The leaves are starting to change color and they want to also color their hair that color. We get a lot of violets, and plums, and reds, and chocolatey browns; really rich pigmented colors are what’s trending for fall.”

7. Frizz-Free Perfect Styled Hair: “We have a lot of business women who come in here and they want a clean cut, perfect haircut. They want to know how to style it as soon as they get home to keep it laying smooth, frizz-free, and super soft. This would be a more high maintenance hairstyle.”

6. Fringe Bangs and Face Framing: “The Bangs, those are big with bobs. Taylor Swift is a good example. When you have full fringe bangs there are no gaps. That comes in handy for women who think they have a big forehead or they are receding. It’s like an illusion, it makes you look like you have more hair than you do.”

5. Bobs: “They’re good for all face shapes if you cut them right. That’s what’s cool about bobs because my face itself is more round, so I left my hair hovering right below my jawline that’s going to help elongate my face. For somebody that has a heart-shaped face, you can put it right at their jawline and that will fill out their face more.”

4. Long Hair with Minimal Layers: “I think that one has a lot more to do with Springfield, Missouri than other places. A lot of college girls especially want it braided to the side, or they brush it and wear it down. Throw it up in a bun. That’s a big haircut we do a lot. ”

3. Balayage: “You can use it to have that nice sun-kiss-look. They want to see a dimension in their hair. They don’t want it to be flat. When your hair is blowing in the wind, you can see those darker pieces mixing with your lighter pieces.”

2. Natural Hair: “Even though there are a lot of bold personality types and that’s becoming such a big thing, there are still a lot of conservative people. They are more introverted, so they don’t want to attract attention. They don’t really want to invest a bunch of time in being in the salon.”

1. Fashion Colors: “It’s a good way to express yourself. Those are for more bold personality types that don’t have job restrictions. People are not as scared to speak up and be opinionated, and show who they are.”
