Finding the cheap times at Springfield’s movie theaters

It’s true: A night for two catching the latest movie can easily hit $20. But there are ways to save at the box office.

Here’s a few tips for those attending Springfield’s theaters:

This two-screen arthouse theater offers $6 tickets on Monday and Tuesday and $7 matinee tickets before 4 p.m. They will also offer $5 tickets for special events. And while there, make sure to pick up a stamp card at the concession stand. This will give you access to free tickets, popcorn and drinks after a certain number of stamps. This deal is not eligible on Sony (which includes Columbia, TriStar and Screen Gems) titles. In addition, matinee tickets are $7.50 for students and $7.75 for adults (3-D charges still apply). Also, Wehrenberg offers a MVP Card program which allows the user to get free tickets, popcorn and drinks based on a points system.
